Mother's Day/Baptism/1st Cubs Game

Wow, it sure is hard to find time to blog when you have a 5 1/2 month old. I wouldn't change anything for the world though...She has been an absolute blessing!!! We are loving being parents! I am pretty sure she has her Daddy wrapped around that tiny little finger of hers!

I recently celebrated my first Mother's Day with Brogs and it was wonderful! I got a beautiful Pandora Bracelet from her and Dots and Stu. They are always listening when Mommy hints about what she wants!

The weekend after Mother's Day was pretty special too. Bucher and Brogan were Baptized together. Brogan's Baptism was planned but Bucher's was a surprise to all but him and brother Fred. What a wonderful day it was and what a wonderful God we have!

Last weekend we made a trip to Dallas. Brogs was good for the most part in the car...she just seemed to get bored very easily. I think traveling long distances may prove to be a problem. I am praying that this gets better with age. She got to go to her very 1st Cubs game against the Rangers. She was so good, I don't think I could have asked for a better baby! It was hot and sticky and she stuck it out! And not to mention, the Cubs Won which made it that much better!

As you can see, we are always busy and always on the move! I love my life and my precious little family!!!

Double Ear Infection and Rolling Over

We went to the Dr. this morning and found out that Brogan has a double ear infection. My poor poor baby girl. She does not feel good at all. It was so hard to even get her to smile this morning so I know she didn't feel well. We have started our antibiotics and are taking Tylenol for the fever. I hope that this goes away very FAST! I miss my happy go lucky baby girl! I hate that she is hurting and i can't fix it! Prayers will be much appreciated over these next few days!

On a lighter note, she rolled from her tummy to her back yesterday. I balled my eyes out. I was such a PROUD momma! Bucher was not here to see it so I tried to video her on my phone. I got the camera out three different times for about 5 minutes each time and she wouldn't do it again. I am pretty sure she thought it was funny that she was making a lier out of me! But she really did it, I swear!!!

1st Travs Game 4/16/10

We got to go to the Travs game this last friday. Dr. Barnes let our office use his Suite which by the way is SuPER Sweet!!! If you ever have the chance to watch a game from there I would definitely suggest it. Hopefully he will offer his tickets again in the future. We spent the time with our dear friends Kelly and Tanner. Love these two! I really consider them family! Dr. Martin and Susan joined us as well. We had a great time. Here are a few pics. from the evening!

I don't talk about my little boy as much as my precious baby girl but I caught a few pics. of him outside on this beautiful day today! He is a sweet baby. It is just those 2 and 3 a.m. wake ups that I don't enjoy but am sure I will be used to sooner than later! Enjoy!

Kidney Stones and Ricebird Homecoming

Last Tuesday I went to the ER AGAIN. This time...Kidney Stones. I love being pregnant and knowing that there is going to be a precious life at the end of it but it is really starting to bring me down. I don't know if I can take much more pain. The pain of a kidney stone is no joke. Trust me, I have never had one before and I DONT EVER WANT ONE AGAIN!!! I imagine labor to be much easier than that! Good news is that I am feeling great as of right now and am really chomping at the bit to get Brogan's room completed.
On a side note, Gere marched in his first parade this last weekend. It was the Homecoming Parade in Stuttgart. He did so good and I am so proud of him! He is an excellent Drummer!!!

28 Weeks and Counting

So I am 28 weeks pregnant and doing great. The only issue I seem to be having right now is Gestational Diabetes which I have an appt. with a Dietician on Monday to see about controlling. Brogan's room is coming along nicely. My mom, dad, and stepmom came a few weeks ago and painted and started putting up the bead board. They are coming back this weekend to finish. I am extremely excited about this. I will be in Memphis while they are here, so I get to come home to a finished bed room which pumps me up! Bucher and I are going to see my favorite band Wilco. The crib came in yesterday but we can't set it up until the room is finished.
We have taken two classes so far...Child Birth and Infant/Child CPR and have two more coming up within the next two weeks...Breastfeeding and Infant care. So far they have been very informative and I am looking forward to the others to come.
My mom is getting married next Thursday. I am very happy for her as she has been waiting for Mr. right for a long time and I think she finally found him! Welcome to the family Dave. I will post some pics. as soon as I get some!
I think that's it for now but there is so much that is going to be happening in the next few weeks, that I can't stay away too long.

Here a few before pics. of Brogan's Room

And here are few pics. of the partially finished room ( The pics. didn't turn out very well but you get the idea).

Gallstones

This past friday I woke up with a pain like no other. I went to work thinking it would go away but it never did. I have experienced this pain twice before, once in august 07 and once in august 08. Both times I have gone to the ER and been given pain medicine and sent home with no real diagnosis. This time, being pregnant, I thought I better go to the ER and find out once and for all what was going on in my belly. I arrived at the ER at 9 a.m. I was immediately sent to the Labor and Delivery unit b/c I am 25 weeks pregnant. They put me in a room and monitored the baby for about an hour with no pain relief. I threw up three times while in L & D due to pain. They found that everything was fine with the baby so they sent me back down to the ER. At this point it is about 10:30 and I still have no pain relief. I was put in a room very quickly and I was there for a while when a student came in and asked me a series of questions, which I have already answered about three times already for different people, again! Then a nurse comes in and gives me a "GI Concoction", Mallox and Lidocaine, this was meant to numb the pain but did nothing but numb my tongue. Finally a DR. came in and decided he could give me some Dilaudid and that they would be doing an EKG, drawing some blood and getting an ultrasound of my gallbladder. Finally about 12:30ish I had some pain relief. They did all the above tests that were normal except for the ultrasound. I had Gallstones, and lots of them apparently. The good news was that there was no infection and no obstruction. Dr. Taylor my OB Dr. decided they should admit me for pain control and a surgical consult. So about 5 pm after a day in the ER and minimal pain relief I am moved to L&D again to stay the night. I was going to be put on a PCA pain pump and they were going to monitor the baby for the evening. After three hours of being in the room with no pain relief again, I finally got that pain pump. Needless to say, I awoke to no pain and to a surgeon saying I would need to wait until after Baby Brogan is born to have my gallbladder removed. I was released on a no spicy/no fried food diet, which is probably a good thing. I am much better and am hoping that I don't have another episode before I can get this thing removed. On another note, Brogan is great...she is kicking and moving more than ever and I love that!!! We also got her fabric in and are getting ready to pick out the paint and get started on her room. This, I can't wait for! It is going to be precious!!!

Cookies

I seem to have a sweet tooth for warm chocolate chip cookies or oreos and milk. In fact I am about to get up and make some cookies right now but thought I needed to add a quick update for all my blogging buddies. Brogan is moving like crazy these days and what makes me the most sad is that Bucher can't feel her like I can...He can feel her but not as well. I guess the further along I get the more he will be able to feel her. I feel great...I am having some indigestion issues but other than that this pregnancy thing has been pretty easy. I am definitely the one that all the others hate. We are looking forward to the Razorback game this Saturday. A little tailgating never hurt anyone! Go Hogs! P.S. I am loving this weather!!! I hope it sticks around for awhile!!!

New Beginnings

So it has been awhile, to say the least. We bought a new house and now we are having a baby! Pretty big news if you ask me! We are really really excited about both of these new ventures in our lives! We are having a little girl and I am due on Dec. 24th. Her name is Brogan Lane Bucher. My cousin in Texas has a friend named Brogan and we just really liked that name. Especially b/c it is so different. We are working on planning her room right now. I am having a really hard time with it b/c i want it to be as cute as it can be! If you know me, then you know I am anal about these things and this decision is a hard one. We registered yesterday at Babies-R-Us. It was fun picking out all the cute little things. We just can't wait to meet her.

Too Long...

Well I guess I should start by saying that I am really not good at this blogging bit, obviously if you read my blog you have figured this out. I will strive to be better but as of now I am probably only going to be a mediocre blogger. So for starters Kelly is home with Tanner. He is so adorable and is really falling into routine of an american life quite well. I have seen him several times and He really for some reason loves bucher...I don't know why...he even reached for him over me...which sort of hurt my feelings but I guess I will get over it. I will post a picture of him at the end of this post.
It is finally getting cold...I am happy and ready to strike up the fireplace and settle in with a warm blanket and glass of hot apple cider!!! Yum Yum!!! I love fall/winter time...So cozy!!!
I was so sad to hear about the passing of Anne Pressly. I shed a few tears b/c the thought that someone could do such a terrible thing to someone is so disgusting to me. Also, she was only 26 which is my age and I can't imagine my family having to deal with this so early in life. I am praying for her family and friends during this sad time. She was such a beautiful girl!
I was contemplating on dressing up for Halloween...I am still thinking about it but I hate Halloween, I don't like trick or treating or the scary stuff that goes on. If I were to dress up I would be the annoying 80's kid, wearing every 80's fad I could find at the same time...But this is so much trouble. I have to go to Stuttgart and I know Gere would hate it if I showed up at the game Friday night in total 80's gear...I will continue to contemplate and will keep you posted on my decision.
I guess this is all for now. Don't forget, if you LOVE Ryan Adams and the Cardinals as much as I do, the new CD "Cardinology" comes out 10/28/08. Until next time...Kisses, AB

So Many Updates, So Little Time

Okay, for starters, The Cubs lost. I'm sure this is not surprising to most but it is to me since I totally thought this was our year! It is really devastating...I cried. But I must move on. And then I remember, "There's always next year"!

Next, my friend Kelly is in Vietnam getting her son as we speak! I am super stoked about this since I have been with her thru the whole process. It has been a long one, trust me, more for her than all of us but we are excited and she is so deserving of him. She is going to be a great mom!

Now, I don't think I mentioned earlier that Stuart got stuck in a tree about a month ago. He was still really small and I had to get the ladder to rescue him, but only after I took a few photos, It was a scrapbook page waiting to happen! Here are a couple of the pictures that I got.

I like how he is totally looking at me like mom, please get me down from here!!!

Last, but certainly not least, My little girl went to the beauty shop and got a haircut and bath. Here are a few pictures of her. She totally hated the bow and pretty much didn't feel like getting her photo taken.

So, I thought I was done. But I remembered I also took this really cute photo of them looking out the window together. They do this often, normally when I leave so they can watch me drive away or wait for me to come home. Aren't they the cutest???

Hectic...

I know it's been a while since my last blog. It's hard to remember to try and keep this thing up to date. Since the last post what has been happening around here??? Hmmm, let's see...The Cubs clinched the National League Central Division (I think it's central) and Bucher and I have started working at the go cart track for Jim in Conway. Literally I have seen my husband for a total of like 30 min. since Tuesday. I forgot to mention that on Wednesday nights, Bucher bowls and I normally work late so he doesn't get home until like 9:30 or 10 and I am usually watching my shows or going to bed, Thursday nights I am babysitting until 10 and he is in the bed by then, Friday night he works and doesn't get home until 12:45...Seriously hectic around here lately but as soon as the track closes for the season it will all be boring again with nothing to do. Oh, My, I totally forgot to tell you that my friend Kelly who is adopting finally got "The Call"...She leaves on Thursday Oct. 2...She will be gone for 2 weeks to Vietnam...This is a really exciting moment in her life and I am so glad to be a part of it. Okay, so that's enough to swallow for now. I will try to be more prompt on blogging but as you can see, I don't get to look at the computer very much anymore! Kisses, AB

My Precious Babies

I want to introduce my two very precious loves!!! Dots is 2 1/2 years old and was a wedding present from my Hubby. Stuart "followed" my little brother home and I decided he needed to come live with me! These two have really taken to each other. I am surprised at how Dottie Mae has accepted Stuart Ransom Miller the 2nd into her life. Stuart acts a lot like Dottie Mae. Maybe growing up with a dog has made him act like a dog. I don't know, but I do know one thing...They Light Up My Life!!!
